Heavy Vehicle and/or Construction Machinery Mechanic 100% m/f/d For our client active in the construction sector in Fribourg, we are looking for a full-time heavy vehicle and/or construction machinery mechanic. In this technical role, you will work on equipment subjected to significant demands and must ensure their availability, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities You are responsible for diagnosing failures, carrying out periodic maintenance work, and ensuring precision on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and more. You will work closely with your colleagues while also managing your interventions autonomously. Contact with clients is also part of your tasks, particularly for providing advice in technical areas related to heavy vehicles and construction machinery. Understand the origin of the failure and accurately interpret all available information. Safely and appropriately use various measuring devices required for diagnostics. Perform periodic maintenance services according to the manufacturer's specifications and handle parts either manually or with suitable machinery to ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle or equipment after maintenance. Check or repair the electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems according to needs. Advise clients in technical areas by clearly explaining the completed work and ideally hold a vocational certificate as a heavy vehicle mechanic, in agricultural machinery, or related field, with a structured approach to daily technical interventions. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and various internal stakeholders. Autonomous personality, capable of assuming tasks reliably. Stress resistance and good capacity to adapt to varied situations.
