Who are we?
The UK Mission to the UN \& WTO in Geneva represents the interests and policies of the UK at many international organisations in Geneva and is recruiting a highly motivated Health Intern.

Main purpose of job:
As our Health Intern, you won’t just observe—you’ll contribute. You’ll support the UK delegation’s work with the United Nations, particularly the World Health Organization (WHO), gaining first\-hand experience of how global health policy is negotiated and delivered.
Roles and responsibilities:
Monitoring WHO and UN meetings, negotiations, press conferences, and events
Drafting clear, concise reports and circulating them to UK Government policy leads
Supporting the planning and delivery of health\-related events and high\-level visits
Managing and triaging the Health Team inbox, ensuring information reaches the right stakeholders
Providing general administrative support to keep the team running smoothly
Getting involved in corporate activities across the Mission ( major events such as the King’s Birthday Party)

Health Intern
Our Ideal Candidate shows:
Fluency in written and spoken English (C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, ideally in the field of Health, International Development or International Relations
A demonstrated interest in global health, health rights or similar
An open, co\-operative attitude
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Experience drafting, writing, and/or reporting
IT literacy
Nice to have:
Prior relevant volunteering or work experience in the field of Health, Diplomacy, or within the multilateral system an advantage
Knowledge of French or another UN language would be an asset
