The Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity (DCSS) aims to develop social cohesion and strengthen solidarity at the local level, in order to improve the well-being of the population. Composed of six services, the Department provides essential services to the population, whether in social action, public health, early childhood care, or support for the elderly and people with disabilities. The management of the DCSS is looking for its future Head of the Civil Registry Service at %Your mission and responsibilitiesYour expertise at the service of the populationReporting to the Director of the DCSS, your main mission is to lead the Civil Registry Service and ensure the proper delivery of its services (births, marriages, deaths, etc.). In this capacity, your responsibilities consist of:- Advising the administration in defining public policy in civil registry matters;- Defining priority objectives and adapting the service offering in response to the evolution of the needs and expectations of the population;- Managing all service personnel (about forty people);- Managing the department's operating budget;- Ensuring the consistency of legal decisions in complex files;- Guaranteeing the probative force of public registers;- Representing the department before cantonal and federal authorities, ensuring the link with the media and partners.ProfileYour background and skills- Holder of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil law or private law, or equivalent experience; the bar exam is a serious asset.
