Description
Your mission:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Safety at Work to lead our workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. This is a strategic role that requires a proactive approach to fostering a culture of safety and well-being across the organization.
Your tasks:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Provide leadership and guidance to the safety team and other departments on safety-related matters
- Deliver safety training programs to employees and management
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure best practices in workplace safety
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, driving continuous improvement
What we are looking for:
- Appropriate education and advanced training in occupational safety and Health, engineering, health protection with a proven experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
- Experience in design and deliver safety training programs for employees
- Teamwork: You engage in interactions with diverse team members and actively contribute information, ideas, and insights in meetings or other interactions
- Problem solving: You seek accurate information to analyze problems, break down complex issues into manageable parts, and approach solutions in a systematic and structured way
- Motivation: You are driven by purpose, taking initiative to move things forward
- Communication: You adapt your communication style to the context and stakeholders and actively ask for information through relevant questions and active listening
- Fluent in English, good command in German and French is a plus
