Head of Railway Engineering
A strategic role at the heart of railway performance and innovation
Your responsibilities
As a member of the extended management team of TPF TRAFIC, you assume overall responsibility for activities related to railway engineering and rolling stock. You oversee all activities in your area, defining and implementing the strategies, policies and projects necessary for its development. You are responsible in particular for the acquisition, maintenance and development of equipment, with a focus on performance, safety and economic efficiency. You ensure compliance with and development of health, safety and environmental standards, according to ECM requirements, and oversee the quality and conformity of maintenance activities. A true driver of continuous improvement, you are proactive in developing methods, processes and digital solutions. As a manager, you lead, develop and unite your teams (around 30 employees), spread across two sites. Finally, you ensure smooth internal and external communication, represent the company’s interests within bodies and develop partnerships.
Your profile
An engaged and results-oriented person, you combine solid technical expertise with a genuine strategic vision, enabling you to operate comfortably in complex and demanding environments. You have proven experience in managing large-scale technical projects as well as excellent mastery of maintenance activities and regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of future trainsets is a major asset. You know how to create a collaborative work environment, supporting your teams in achieving objectives while fostering skills development. A convincing communicator, you are comfortable making decisions and interacting with a variety of stakeholders. Holding an HES/EPFL engineering degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent, you have significant experience in a technical environment, ideally railway or industrial. You speak French and ideally have good knowledge of German.
