A well-established private bank with a small office in Geneva but rapidly expanding (fully regulated Swiss subsidiary). Strong shareholding and an entrepreneurial working atmosphere. Leading a small team - including 1 Accountant and 3 Back Office/Operations staff, your main mission will include the following elements:

* Ensure the implementation and proper functioning of an administrative and accounting system adapted to the size of the company and the nature of its activities

* Ensure that operations carried out by the various stakeholders comply with procedures and legal and internal regulations

* Implement and adapt procedures for optimal operational functioning

* Control and monitor the Company's activity to minimise operational risks in general

* Manage risks related to the company's activities, particularly in asset management

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Daily control of accounting journals for all operations, including stock exchange journals

* Control of cash flow

* Prepare bank, broker, forex, and custodian limits and ensure compliance with these limits

* Ensure quality and timeliness of legal reporting

* Control monthly financial statements prepared by accounting

* Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory principles (quality and timeliness)

* Ensure implementation of audit recommendations

* Substitute for the accountant in case of absence

* Participate in various committees at the request of the general manager

* Monitor and manage risks arising from the entity's daily activities

* Monitor Nostro investments, ensure compliance with limits, and control weekly reporting

* Ensure smooth functioning of the back office team, especially regarding various cover during absences

* Human resources including preparation and monitoring of salaries, social security and insurance

* Keep abreast of regulatory developments, particularly regarding risk management, to inform general management and ensure their implementation

* Manage and coordinate projects at the request of general management

* In coordination with the general manager, prepare documentation and reports necessary for the board of directors

The position requires full-time presence in the Geneva offices; remote work is not possible.

* 8-10+ years of experience in Swiss banking accounting, control and risk - including FINMA reporting

* CFO/Head of Finance experience in the banking sector (or in a Big 4 where you audited small banks)

* You are used to working hands-on and not only at a strategic and supervisory level

* You have experience in a Swiss category 4 or 5 bank

* Enjoy managing a small team of accountants, financiers and back-office staff

* Experience or supervision of operational and credit risk would be a plus

* You should also be comfortable with compliance-related risks - including investments, transactions, fraud...

* Able to lead a small team with a pragmatic approach

* Native French speaker, fluent English
