Arken is a Swiss company specialised in the design, manufacture and sale of climbing holds. Its brands Cheeta and Flathold are references on international competition circuits and are used by a large number of
climbing gyms worldwide.
Our team of 10 employees operates between Fribourg and Moutier, in coordination with local partners, an international distribution network and production sites in Europe, Asia and the United States. Our activity involves coordinating complex international flows between distributors, industrial partners and professional clients in more than 50 countries.
Our ambition: to develop quality products for the climbing community while sustainably structuring our growth and operations.
The position
We are looking for a Head of Finance & Administration capable of structuring the financial and administrative functions of an SME, while ensuring the daily operations related to this area.
You will play a key role in securing processes, monitoring performance as well as the administrative and financial compliance of the company, while providing support to the sales team in its international relations.
Your responsibilities
Finance & management
- Management and monitoring of accounting
- Cash flow monitoring, budgets and financial reporting
- Cost, margin and profitability control
- Monitoring payments and invoicing
- Analysis of financial and operational performance
Administration & compliance
- Management of administrative and financial compliance
- Coordination with external partners (fiduciary, insurance, administrations)
- Support for internal organisation and smooth administrative functioning of the company
ERP & continuous improvement
- Use and optimisation of the ERP for daily management (finance and operations)
- Coordination of administrative and operational flows
- Participation in the improvement of internal processes
- Participation in the structuring of tools and procedures
Cross-functional support for company operations
- Coordination of activities between teams and partners
- Operational support to various departments
- Cross-functional support for company operations
- Internal administrative and operational coordination
Profile sought
- Proven experience in financial management of an SME
- Background in external audit or accounting firm appreciated
- Good understanding of compliance and regulatory issues
- Knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms and issues related to import/export operations appreciated
- Good command of common IT tools (Excel, management tools, CRM)
- Knowledge of Odoo or a similar ERP highly appreciated
- Ability to support management on HR and daily administrative matters
- Rigorous, methodical and structured profile
- Ability to work autonomously and flexibly • Comfortable in an SME environment where responsibilities are varied
- Good command of English
- Understanding of the climbing environment is a plus
- Ability to manage several topics in parallel with autonomy
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
- Versatility and willingness to contribute beyond the strict scope of the position
