Head of ERP & Business Solutions m/w/d
As Head of ERP & Business Applications, you will take ownership of our group-wide Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and lead the ongoing transformation of our ERP and CRM landscape. Combining strategic leadership with hands-on stakeholder management, you will guide a small expert team, steer external partners, and ensure that our business applications support growth, efficiency, and innovation across the organization. Your Key Responsibilities
Own and continuously enhance the group-wide Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement) platform, ensuring stable operations, effective release management, and high-quality support services
Lead the NextGen ERP transformation program, driving standardization, reducing customizations, and establishing sustainable platform governance
Manage the consolidation of the group’s ERP and CRM landscape, including the migration of legacy systems and the integration of newly acquired entities into Dynamics 365
Define and maintain the application lifecycle management (ALM) strategy, environment architecture, and roadmap for future platform development
Act as the central point of contact for business requirements, translating demand into prioritized initiatives and release plans
Govern and manage external implementation partners, ensuring service excellence, delivery quality, knowledge transfer, and effective vendor performance
Lead, develop, and coach the internal ERP team while managing budgets, resources, and transparent reporting to IT leadership
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements, including access management, segregation of duties, and regulatory standards
Assess and drive new business application initiatives beyond the D365 platform
Ensure compliance with audit and governance requirements within the application landscape
Serve as deputy to the Head of IT for ERP and business applications
What You Bring
8+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or Dynamics AX) in complex enterprise environments, including several years in a leadership role
Proven experience leading internal teams and managing external implementation partners within an end-user organization
Strong track record in ERP transformation, platform stabilization, and reducing customizations in favor of standard solutions
Hands-on experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including Azure DevOps, release management, testing, and environment governance
Solid understanding of ITIL-based change, release, and incident management in a business-critical ERP environment
Experience in requirements management, business process analysis, and backlog prioritization
Proven expertise in ERP/CRM migration projects and multi-entity organizational structures
Good understanding of ERP security, role-based access concepts, governance, and compliance requirements; ISO/IEC 27001 knowledge is an advantage
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or ITIL certifications are a plus
Business fluency in German and English
