The Balcons du Lac Foundation includes the EMS Les Palmiers in Montreux, the EMS Résidence Les Laurelles in Territet, the EMS Les Rosiers in Blonay, two temporary reception centres in Montreux and Villeneuve, as well as adapted housing with support in Blonay. It employs around 180 staff across all sectors.
As part of the reorganisation of our management team, we are looking for a personality capable of combining excellence in care, close leadership and a vision for the future to lead the care teams of our EMS Les Laurelles in Territet as:
Head of Care and Support (Chief Nurse)
Your mission:
As a member of the management team, you are responsible for the quality of care and support for residents.
On a daily basis, you:
- manage all care activities of the establishment;
- support, develop and inspire the care and activity teams;
- ensure a humane, individualised care approach in line with best professional practices;
- actively participate in institutional projects and continuous improvement;
- maintain trusting relationships with residents, their relatives, doctors and network partners;
- take part in nursing shifts on a rota with other nurses of the Foundation.
This position offers real scope to evolve practices and contribute to the development of our Foundation.
Your profile (F or M):
- Bachelor in nursing (HES) or equivalent qualification. If foreign diploma, recognition by the Swiss Red Cross;
- Management training (CAS or federal certificate);
- Additional specific training in geriatrics (specific modules option "ageing person", CAS or DAS recognised by the State of Vaud);
- At least 5 years of professional experience including 3 years in a managerial role;
- Very good knowledge of the Vaud socio-health network and region;
- Residence within 35 minutes of the Foundation to ensure nursing shifts;
- Driving licence and private vehicle;
- Interest in elderly people and ease of contact;
- Responsible, organised, autonomous, rigorous person;
- Team spirit, interdisciplinarity and sense of responsibility;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good knowledge of IT tools and especially common professional software in the field (DIR, PEP, etc.);
- Knowledge of the collective labour agreement of the Vaud parapublic health sector and planning rules.
