Why do we need you?

Following the departure of the current post holder and the evolution of the Care Management organisation, driven by the arrival of a new Director of Nursing, we are looking for a Head Nurse Coordinator of Care Units to support this new dynamic.

What will you be expected to do?

• Lead and optimise the organisation of nursing activities in collaboration with the managers to ensure efficient, safe and quality care for our patients
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing on the strategic development of the department, as well as the promotion and deployment of nursing activities in accordance with institutional policy, and act as deputy in their absence
• Promote a managerial culture based on trust, participation and respect, encouraging autonomy and accountability among managers and care teams (149 FTE)
• Support the professional skills development of collaborators and managers by defining the necessary training directions and plans to achieve objectives
• Contribute to the department’s budget management (FTE, medical equipment, devices) and to risk and quality management through institutional dashboards
• Lead and implement projects that will address today’s and tomorrow’s challenges, acting as a true driver of continuous care improvement

What do we expect from you?

Essentials:

• HES nursing diploma or equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross and advanced management training
• Several years of professional and hospital experience
• Proven experience in managing care teams and supervising managers
• Good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system and its challenges
• Management, organisational and planning skills and ability to lead projects
• Ability to unite multidisciplinary teams by fostering trust, accountability and collaboration
• Excellent communication skills
• Strategic vision combined with strong proximity to field realities
• Ability to develop skills, support managers and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Your assets:

• Experience in a coordination or nursing management role
• Holding a Master’s degree in nursing management
• Innovative mindset and ability to evolve practices based on the needs of teams and patients
