ROLE
The Team Leader is responsible for leading, organising, and supervising landscaping activities (flower beds, shrubs, lawns, turf, street furniture) and ensuring the maintenance of a high-quality aesthetic throughout the Prilly site. Their role is to guarantee the execution of work according to quality standards, safety, and within the allotted deadlines.
• System and administration: process purchase requests, goods or service entries, and validate invoice reception.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Work coordination: organise and plan the tasks of team members in the field according to planned and unplanned operational activities.
• Organise, monitor, and coordinate heavy work or projects carried out by external contractors.
• Ensure smooth running of activities from start to completion of operations.
• Winter service: contribute to snow clearance and salting of roads and paths.
• Team supervision: lead and motivate the team by fostering good team spirit and effective communication.
• Train and support team members for the development of their technical and professional skills.
• Quality and safety control: ensure the quality of work carried out and its compliance with the client’s specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and apply risk prevention procedures.
• Materials and equipment management: manage the supply of necessary materials and products and ensure their proper use.
• Supervise the maintenance and proper use of machines and tools.
• Client relations: act as the direct contact for clients, understand their needs, and ensure their satisfaction.
• Report on work progress and resolve any issues in consultation with the management line.
PROFILE
• Federal diploma as a landscaping foreman or foreman in green space maintenance or equivalent qualification in landscaping, horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar position.
• Driving licence B, preferably C1 + trailer.
• Interest in environmental issues and nature-friendly working techniques.
• Good knowledge of perennial plant beds.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, in line with seasonal rhythms.
• Organisational skills, autonomy, good anticipation ability, and solution orientation. Collaborative spirit.
• Observational skills and creativity.
• Knowledge and respect of safety rules.
• Proficiency in French; English and/or German is an advantage.
• Good command of Microsoft O365, MS Office, SharePoint, ShareFile, SAP S4HANA office software.
Working hours may vary according to operational needs and service requirements. Work is mainly carried out outdoors, subject to weather conditions.
