Green Labs ProjectMain tasks and responsibilitiesWithin the EPFL Sustainability unit, at the Vice Presidency for Research and your mission will be to work with centers and to estimate and reduce their environmental footprint without impacting the quality of the research. You will work in interface with different Vice Presidencies and the EPFL Faculties, you will be led to Green LabsUnder the supervision of the Head of Service, support, monitor and guarantee the development and implementation of the Green Labs component of the strategy and Sustainability- Accompany centers and platforms in reducing their environmental impact- Participate in the definition of reduction objectives targeted by type of laboratory and propose a financing plan to support labs and platforms in the deployment of reduction measures: the question of a dedicated fund arises- Participate in working groups and the realization of carbon assessments of research activities for centers and platforms, energy and resource audits- Raise awareness among research teams- Deploy labels such as LEAF, Sparhub or My Green Lab on good practices, particularly in terms of energy, travel, waste including plastic- Develop roadmaps and action plans & engagement- Support the unit in connection with the deployment of the tool for monitoring the carbon footprint of EPFL research activities, the CO2 monitor- Participate and/or organize, under the supervision of the Head of Service, team meetings for the Green Labs team- Organize workshops and events- Create educational materials- Maintain and develop the website- Promote the results of the projects and foster a culture of sustainable researchProfile- University experience at master's level or equivalent or HES in engineering, environmental sciences, data analysis, digital sciences or equivalent- Experience in methods for monitoring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions of at least 5 years- Experience in transversal project management of at least 5 yearsRequired skills- Mastery of carbon emission accounting principles (GHG Protocol)- Knowledge of methods, tools and standards for assessing environmental footprints such as life cycle analysis- Strong interest in sustainability and reducing environmental footprint- Experience with LCA software such as SimaPro or equivalent- Proven knowledge of the academic world- Language skills: French, English- Analytical and synthesis skills, writing skills- Ability to work transversally- Demonstrate autonomy, proactivity and be a source of proposals- Ethics and scientific rigorWe offer- The opportunity to contribute to stimulating projects for reducing environmental impacts within academic research- A flexible working environment within a dynamic team and- Start date: As soon as possible- Min rate: 80%- Max rate: 100%- Type of contract: Fixed-term contract- Duration: 1 year jid2d6947faen jit0624aen jpiy26aen
