Global Purchasing Head (Group Purchasing Director) 100% (m/f/d)Our client is a globally operating, family-owned corporate group based in Switzerland with around 500 employees. The company develops and manufactures solutions for drinking water applications. The product range extends from finely adjusted flow regulators to complex hose and valve systems. With this, the corporate group makes an important contribution worldwide to a safe, efficient and sustainable use of drinking water - in households as well as in industry.In the context of succession planning, we are looking for an experienced leader for the location Basel:Responsibilities:- Development and implementation of a global purchasing strategy and maintenance of supplier relationships worldwide- Negotiation and conclusion of framework contracts with suppliers- Management and optimization of global procurement processes- Ensuring compliance, sustainability, and risk management along the supply chain- Leadership and further development of the global purchasing team- Monitoring relevant KPIs and reporting to management- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as development, product management, quality, production, and logisticsYour profile:- Completed degree in business or technical field (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or comparable)- Strong technical understanding, ideally in purchasing within a decentralized organized team- Fluent in German and English, other languages advantageous- Analytical and project management skills as well as experience with digital purchasing systems- Willingness to travel regularly on an intercontinental basis- Proven negotiation skills and ability to build partnerships- Solution-oriented and analytical mindsetWhat to expect:Look forward to a varied and responsible position in a growing company with a wide range of products.
