The Built Environment Directorate (DPBA) of the Department of Urban Planning, Construction, and Mobility is responsible for the maintenance and development of the real estate portfolio of the City of Geneva (public buildings and properties). Following a departure, the DPBA is looking for a 100% Accountant. Your mission and responsibilities - Manage all accounting related to investments from the opening to the closing of the approved credits, and participate in the annual financial closing related to investments. - Support project managers in the financial management of investments as well as in financial monitoring, budget comparison, and their relationship with accounting. - Prepare and update the necessary documents for the financial plan for investments (PFI), in close collaboration with the service management. - Take charge, in the absence of your colleagues or during peak periods, of other tasks related to the accounting or budget management of the profile. - Hold a professional degree or one deemed equivalent, complemented by a qualification in accounting or a specialist finance and accounting certificate. - Have at least 5 years of experience in accounting. Demonstrate good stress resistance during more intense accounting periods (budget establishment, financial closing) and the ability to identify priorities, essential for this function. - Show rigor and proactivity, curiosity, a capacity to work both autonomously and in a team, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of confidentiality. - Master common tools, Excel at an advanced level, and SAP at a good level. - Having knowledge of how a public institution operates as well as in the real estate domain is an asset for this position.
