It is responsible for managing, in a coordinated manner, issues concerning wildlife, forests, and nature, the management of renewable resources, the protection of nature, and support for authorities for matters under its responsibility.Your missionsYou ensure the management of the district and you are fully invested in the sustainable management of the forests of the canton. With the district foresters and the representatives of the owners, you plan and implement silvicultural work in the forests. You ensure rigorous application of legislation on forests, while integrating other policies and environmental regulations in force. In this context, you also assume forest police tasks. You collaborate closely with the cantonal forest engineer, particularly for the processing of files related to the protection of forests.ProfileYou hold a degree as a forest engineer (EPF or HES), or a master's degree in environmental sciences with a specialization in forest and landscape management, or a title deemed equivalent. Previous experience is an asset for this position. You possess skills in financial management and you are accustomed to monitoring forest subsidies. Convinced by a multifunctional and sustainable approach to forests, you are actively committed to its implementation. Endowed with a dynamic personality, you appreciate teamwork and demonstrate a good sense of communication. A fine understanding of ecological, economic, and technical realities allows you to propose concrete and realistic solutions.
