Forester-Lumberjack - East RegionJob DescriptionWithin the DGE-FOREST Division, you will be required to carry out forestry work as part of the protection and management of cantonal forests located in the municipalities under the jurisdiction of the forest inspection. In addition, you will also perform maintenance work on young stands, as well as development and equipment work for forestry infrastructure.Responsibilities- Carry out forestry work in these various massifs according to the orders of the forest rangers.- Execute timber harvesting work according to marking and safety protocols.- Carry out forest maintenance work by allowing the maintenance and development of a multifunctional forest, according to the silvicultural orders received and the predominant function given by the ranger.- Participate in the maintenance of biotopes inside and outside the forest and other ecosystems such as forest edges according to biodiversity objectives, prepare and package energy wood.- Participate in the information and safety of the public, if necessary secure and mark out the site.- Take care of your equipment and keep it in good working order.- Participate in the maintenance of tools, machines, and vehicles assigned to the team.- Ensure safety and health at work for yourself, team members, and third parties.For further information, you can consult the job description via this link.
