Fire Protection SpecialistJob DescriptionWithin the framework of real estate portfolio management, the Engineering and Sustainability Department provides technical expertise to the General Directorate of Buildings. Within the Engineering and Sustainability Department, you are the fire protection contact person for the General Directorate of Buildings. You advise, support, and propose solutions for any questions related to your area of expertise for all operated buildings.Responsibilities- Define and deploy the Fire Protection strategy for buildings operated by the Canton, according to current industry directives;- Guarantee and ensure compliance with the directives of the Cantonal Fire Insurance Establishments (AEAI) as well as standards and processes related to fire protection (PI) concepts, both for existing buildings and for projects under development within the portfolio;- Act as the fire protection contact person for all operated buildings and be the primary point of contact for various internal and external partners;- Define and issue basic fire protection instructions to various internal stakeholders;- Establish specific reference documents related to the activity (internal technical directives, etc.) and perform technological and regulatory monitoring in the field of fire protection.For further information, we invite you to consult the job description here.Profile- Higher education degree in construction or other relevant higher education degree useful for the position;- Federal Diploma as a Fire Protection Specialist (AEAI) and continuous training in accordance with industry standards;- Professional experience of at least 5 years in the field of fire protection and construction;- Solid knowledge of legal provisions regarding fire protection and good writing skills;- Ability to manage uncertainty and work in a spirit of proportionality and cost-effectiveness, aptitude for developing positive exchanges within networks of stakeholders and specialists, autonomy, sense of responsibility, and service ethics.WHO ARE WE?At the General Directorate of Buildings (DGIP), we build and renovate public edifices such as universities, high schools, museums, and prisons.
