The Service des communes (SCom) oversees the financial supervision of local communities. It is also responsible for conducting the policy to encourage municipal mergers, intermunicipal finance, the work related to the distribution of tasks among the municipalities, and other relevant operations.Why join us? MissionsAs a financial inspector within the Service des communes, you actively participate in the financial supervision of local public communities and contribute to the quality, reliability, and sustainability of municipal financial management. You will have a role that is both technical, control-oriented, advisory, and interventionist. You will join a cantonal service at the heart of municipal issues, in direct connection with local authorities, prefectures, and administrative units, in a work environment that fosters autonomy, responsibility, and development. Financial Roles- Carry out and document controls of budgets and annual accounts according to the cantonal financial supervision concept- Participate in financial, accounting, and sustainability assessments of local public communities- Support and advise local communities on public accounting standards- Collaborate on directives and accounting regulations of the Service to communities and their governing bodies and participate in working groups and commissions as a representative of the Service- Intervene in courses and sessions aimed at municipalitiesDesired Profile- Federal certificate of specialization in finance and accounting- Very good knowledge of public accounting- Proficiency in specialized tools (notably SAP and FINSTA)- Analytical and synthesis capability- Sense of public service, rigor, autonomy, and reliability- Ease and ability to work in a network with multiple institutional partners- Strong interest in municipal issues and public management- Mastery of the German language or bilingualism in French/German with excellent command of the other languageContact InformationChristophe Maillard T Email jid2f5feebaen jit0415aen jpiy26aen
