The Early Childhood Service (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the City of Geneva's early childhood policy by managing municipal childcare facilities and supporting the childcare facilities it subsidizes. To complete its team, the SDPE is looking for a Management Controller at 80%.Your mission and responsibilities- Contribute to financial steering and performance in a complex and constantly evolving environment.- Carry out financial analyses and produce decision-support tools, participate in budget preparation and monitoring, and support high-stakes cross-functional projects, under the responsibility of the Finance Manager.- Contribute, through expertise, to ensuring efficient, transparent, and compliant management of municipal and subsidized structures.- Assist the Finance Manager in the financial steering of the service, by contributing to the analysis and monitoring of complex financial files, and by providing reliable analyses, relevant steering tools, as well as high value-added reports.- Lead and support cross-functional projects by providing financial and analytical expertise, particularly in public procurement.- Ensure control, compliance, and continuous improvement of processes in the subsidized and municipalized sectors, in order to guarantee transparent, efficient, and compliant management.Profile- Hold a Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, management, or an equivalent qualification.- Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in management control or a similar function.- Perfectly master management tools, particularly the Office suite (especially Excel) and reporting tools.- Demonstrate rigor, a sense of organization, and analytical capacity.- Show a marked interest in public policies, social issues, and public service.- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.Application procedureApplication deadline:Start date:Function classification: Class J of the salary scaleThe application file must contain the following elements: cover letter; curriculum vitae or, failing that, a completed Job Application form (to be downloaded from our website); copy of diplomas and work certificates; recent photo (passport format).In its desire to fight unemployment, the city encourages applications from the Cantonal Employment Office.For the City of Geneva, the recruitment process is decentralized.
