The EPFL campus offers an exceptional working environment in the heart of a community of more than 17,000 people, including over 12,500 students and 4,000 researchers from over 120 different countries.MissionThe Head of Faculty Affairs of the School of Engineering leads a small team governing academic processes within the School (such as academic recruitment, academic promotions, and research leaves, etc.) and provides executive support to the Dean of the School and the Chair of the Academic Committee.For this mission, the Head of Faculty Affairs is seeking an assistant.Duties and responsibilitiesSupport to the Head of Faculty Affairs for:- Professor recruitment activities:- Overseeing recruitment processes- Processing files, with planning and organizing recruitment procedures- Preparing recruitment dossiers- Professor promotion activities and assistance to the Chair of the Academic Committee:- Coordinating and applying procedures- Liaising between committee members, institutes, the Dean, management, and candidates- Managing internal and external reference letters- Preparing promotions dossiers- Overall faculty and management:- Overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes within the School- Coordinating reviews of tenure-track assistant professors and implementing procedures- Maintaining faculty and tracking files- Electronic filing of recordsProfile- CFC or equivalent training- Very good knowledge of French and English (min.
