Experienced Real Estate Accountant - Structured Environment
We are recruiting on behalf of a property management company historically established in Geneva and recognised as one of the key players in the local market.
With several hundred employees and a range of services covering all real estate professions, this company stands out for its long-term approach, the stability of its teams, and the importance placed on the quality of human relations.
As part of the development of its activities, it wishes to strengthen its accounting team with an experienced profile in real estate accounting.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of the accounting for a portfolio of properties under rental management and/or condominium ownership
- Ensure the monitoring of receipts and payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and control financial transactions
- Prepare heating and service charge statements
- Prepare periodic and annual closings
- Produce financial statements for managed properties
- Monitor debtor and creditor accounts
- Participate in closings as well as the continuous improvement of accounting processes
- Work closely with managers, owners, and other internal contacts
Candidate Profile
- Accounting training
- Minimum 3 years of experience in real estate accounting within a property management company in Switzerland
- Good knowledge of the specifics of the French-speaking Swiss market
- Experience with service charge, heating, condominium, and real estate closings
- Comfortable with IT tools and real estate software
- Rigorous, autonomous, and organised personality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
