Le Temps, a leading media outlet, is the only French-language newspaper of its scale in Switzerland. Founded in , it has been deciphering Switzerland and the world on a daily basis for over twenty-five years and offers objective, reliable, and high-quality journalism. The Le Temps group brings together Le Temps and Geneva Solutions, and employs over 160 people. To complete our teams, we are looking for a:Editorial Manager for Events (100%)Events represent an important source of content for Le Temps. They are another way to share the skills and independence of the media outlet, unique in French-speaking Switzerland, fostering exchanges with the Le Temps community and the public on political, economic, and societal issues.Your mission:You are a journalist and you lead the editorial design and production of events organized by Le Temps, notably the Forum des 100, the forums (Real Estate, Health, Pension, Horizon), as well as exclusive events intended for our subscribers and partners. You are also involved in exclusive meetings, such as exchanges between readers and public figures. You are the driving force behind the development of this activity.As the guarantor of quality, consistency of content, and editorial independence, you will work in close collaboration with management, the editor-in-chief, the editorial staff, the events team, the marketing and audience team, as well as the commercial team. You will also play a coordinating role by ensuring that public statements are consistent with the editorial objectives defined by the editorial staff.Responsibilities:- Editorial design and production of events.- Organize and ensure the quality of the editorial elements that accompany these events, before, during, and after them.- Participate in exchanges with partners, in close collaboration with the commercial team.- Ensure the management of ambitious projects, at the crossroads of journalism, the public stage, and brand positioning, in a highly visible role that strongly engages Le Temps.- Develop the editorial strategy for events, ensure their quality, interest, and relevance, and actively collaborate with the team to translate editorial concepts into concrete events.- Define themes, select speakers, design formats, and supervise the smooth editorial running of meetings, in coordination with the editorial staff.- Ensure the editorial consistency of the newspaper's various public statements in connection with events.- Develop new event formats in line with the newspaper's objectives and editorial priorities, in collaboration with the events team.- Participate in steering meetings with partners and ensure editorial follow-up until the events take place.- Manage the content and editorial elements before, during, and after events.- Contribute to the development of the event offering and support the search for sponsors in close collaboration with the marketing and commercial team.- Participate in the creation of an event calendar consistent with the newspaper's editorial and development objectives.- Contribute to dissemination and promotion strategies to maximize the visibility of events.Profile:- Holder of a public relations certificate or equivalent.- Confirmed experience (minimum 5 years) in journalism and editorial management as well as event production.- Ease with public speaking, experience in moderation or event hosting.- Very large network in Switzerland in the political, economic, and regional world, as well as abroad.- Excellent general knowledge, marked interest in Swiss news, political and economic issues, and the exchange of ideas.- Solid writing and editorial skills.- Ability to collaborate with numerous internal and external stakeholders.- Autonomy, sense of rigor, and ability to manage several projects in parallel.- Enthusiasm for the development of a media sector.- Mastery of digital tools and interest in new media.- Very good knowledge of the Swiss landscape and adherence to the editorial values of Le Temps.- Very good command of German and French.We offer you:The opportunity to join:- An independent media outlet and a dynamic team.- Stimulating projects in a rapidly developing sector.Workplace: GenevaStart date: October 1st (or to be agreed upon)Type of contract: PermanentActivity rate: 100%We look forward to receiving your application by July 6th.
