European Credit Control ManagerLocation: Basingstoke – HybridSalary: CompetitiveContract: 12-Month Fixed-Term ContractWorking Pattern: Full-Time We are recruiting for an experienced European Credit Control Manager to join an established international business on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the European Credit function. You'll manage and develop a diverse Credit Control team while taking ownership of cash collection, credit risk, working capital and credit strategy across multiple European markets. The RoleYour responsibilities will include: Leading, managing and developing the European Credit Control teamManaging regional cash collection targets and improving working capitalMonitoring and driving DSO performance across European marketsOverseeing customer accounts and ensuring agreed payment terms are maintainedManaging commercial credit decisions for new and existing customersMinimising bad debt exposure while supporting commercial objectivesOverseeing orders placed on credit hold and ensuring appropriate release processes are followedMaintaining and enforcing credit policies and proceduresWorking closely with Sales, Customer Service and Finance teamsSupporting accurate and timely invoicing and effective payment processesEnsuring credit processes meet internal audit requirementsSupporting Oracle and other credit-related system implementationsRepresenting the Credit function at internal meetings and, where required, customer visits About You Significant experience within Credit Control/Credit ManagementPrevious experience leading and developing a sizeable Credit Control teamExperience managing a credit function across multiple European marketsStrong understanding of cash collection, DSO, working capital and credit riskCommercial approach with the ability to balance risk management with business requirementsConfident working with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales and Customer ServiceStrong Excel and systems skillsOracle experience would be highly advantageousExcellent communication, influencing and conflict-resolution skillsComfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast-paced environmentICM qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential What's on Offer Competitive salary + annual bonusHybrid working arrangementSenior European remitOpportunity to lead an established Credit Control functionBroad exposure across Finance, Sales and Customer Service within an international organisationPrivate pensionHealth cash plan, including contributions towards dental and optical costs£500 annual contribution towards anything wellbeing related This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Manager with European exposure to take ownership of a sizeable international credit function.
