## Job Description ##
**Strategic Direction & Implementation**
* Lead the operationalization of the company's sustainability agenda, ensuring it evolves with business goals and external trends.
* Coordinate cross-functional preparation and delivery of sustainability steering committee meetings, tracking key initiatives, budgets, and outcomes.
* Partner with Marketing and Communications to support internal and external messaging, creating impactful sustainability-related content.
* Maintain oversight of strategic direction, reviewing and refining sustainability priorities based on internal assessments and external developments.
* Cultivate partnerships across the value chain, including financial institutions, clients, regulators, suppliers, and community representatives.
**Risk & Opportunity Management**
* Monitor sustainability and climate-related risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are embedded into broader risk frameworks.
* Contribute to energy transition initiatives, such as renewable investments and low-carbon fuel projects.
* Provide insight on market mechanisms such as carbon credits or offsets.
**Performance Tracking & Reporting**
* Define and oversee key metrics related to ESG performance and progress.
* Supervise internal ESG reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable data collection and disclosure.
* Lead the preparation of official reports, including annual sustainability disclosures, ensuring alignment with evolving standards and frameworks.
**Collaboration & Leadership**
* Act as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders and external sustainability counterparts.
* Engage and support the global sustainability network within the company, providing leadership and motivation to regional and functional representatives.
* Work closely with business leaders and operational teams to embed sustainability across core activities and decisions.
* Champion training and awareness programs to enhance the company's culture and competence around ESG and responsible business topics.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
* Ensure strong governance practices and uphold the organisation's code of conduct and compliance expectations.
* Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented leadership style, with a focus on accountability, performance, and team development.
## The Successful Applicant ##
**Profile & Qualifications**
* University degree, with additional ESG-related certifications or relevant expertise gained through recognized institutions or professional experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a sustainability, corporate responsibility, or ESG-focused role.
* Familiarity with key sustainability standards and frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, UN SDGs, CSRD, CSDDD, ISO) is considered a strong asset.
* Proven ability to develop and communicate strategic insights, including preparation of materials for senior leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., board briefings, strategic papers).
* Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience managing teams in matrix environments (both direct and functional lines).
* Skilled in delivering training and coaching across varied levels of the organization.
* Experience overseeing sustainability or renewable energy-related projects is an advantage.
* Full professional proficiency in English and French is required.
