For the benefit of the Valais and the further development of the Hydropower Plant Valais, we are looking for a Project Manager Environment (100%) as soon as possible or by agreement.In this role, you will work within the Mission department. Your task is to manage projects related to environmental impacts in the context of concession applications for new or existing hydropower plants. In addition, you will manage projects for the ecological remediation of hydropower plants (hydropeaking, fish passage, and sediment management). You will accompany the projects as an environmental specialist from the planning phase to the implementation of environmental measures. You will be a member of interdisciplinary project teams. You will coordinate and accompany external environmental offices.Your Profile- Master's degree as a biologist, ecologist, or environmental engineer (ETH or University of Applied Sciences) with in-depth specialist knowledge regarding environmental impact assessments (water bodies, landscape).- Good knowledge of aquatic ecology is an advantage.- Experience with hydropower concession projects, the ecological remediation of hydropower plants, or river revitalizations is an advantage.- Experience in managing interdisciplinary projects.- Great interest in other topics relevant to hydropower projects such as technology, law, spatial planning, hydrology, and energy economics.- Dynamic and flexible personality with a desire to shape a continuously developing environment.- Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary project groups.- Native language German or French with very good knowledge of the respective other language.Why work with us?An open and dynamic team welcomes you and looks forward to working with you.
