Energy Compliance Engineer Job Description Within the General Directorate of the Environment (DGE) of the Canton of Vaud, the Directorate of Energy (DIREN) is tasked with implementing the Vaud energy policy, encouraging energy savings, energy efficiency, and renewable energies, as well as ensuring safety. We are looking for a person willing to join and support the Energy Compliance section of the Energy Efficiency division located in Lausanne. Responsibilities Analyze and pre-evaluate files for inquiry to ensure compliance with energy laws, study appeals, coordinate decision-making with relevant services, and write related decisions. Participate in the implementation of the system for professionals responsible for auditing energy files under the energy law. Contribute to documents concerning public information to ensure good communication, and update the Vaud website. Ensure compliance with the law and with various actions organized by the Directorate of Energy directed towards users and different target audiences. Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal processes and procedures, particularly those related to special authorizations granted by DIREN. For more details, the terms of reference are available. Requirements: Master’s level degree in engineering/architecture or a recognized title in the energy field. 2 years of experience in a field related to energy. 2 years of experience in the field of building energy (CVD, building physics, knowledge of cantonal energy regulations). Analytical and synthesis skills, attention to compliance with standards and procedures, proficiency in standard office tools. Sense of responsibility and public service ethics, capacity, and flexibility.
