The Lavigny Institution consists of a neurological hospital with two sites, two departments providing accommodation for adults with disabilities, one with intellectual deficiencies and the other with physical deficiencies, a specialized school, and a department recruiting for accommodation. The sector Les Epices consists of three living spaces each welcoming 8 aging adults living with intellectual disabilities accompanied by associated disorders and epilepsy. The sector Les Epices requires daily support in the living environments. In general, all individuals welcomed who live in this sector have great fragility and a significant need for assistance. Therefore, they have a substantial need for support in all activities of daily living. Their main mission is: to accompany residents and organize daily life in the living space, share and animate their daily lives while prioritizing trust and respect. Ensure the physical and psychological well-being of the residents, promote their skills and social roles. Carry out daily nursing care and, if necessary, delegated medical procedures. Observe the health of residents daily and act appropriately based on needs (interventions, contacting the care center and the doctor, colleagues, and following up on personal projects according to general goals and objectives set during interdisciplinary project meetings). Work closely with the day team, night team, and external stakeholders in a spirit of interdisciplinarity. Encourage and develop collaboration with families and legal representatives. Participate in sector and living space projects as well as their development for the quality of care for residents and the conditions in which they are provided.
