Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the functioning of the Educational Directorate as an educational collaborator.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the curriculum plan concept and teaching resources.

  • Maintain relations with the management boards of schools within your area of responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with the legal framework of compulsory schooling and guarantee its implementation.

  • Support various tasks and projects of the Educational Directorate.

Qualifications

  • Training in the field of teaching, at university level or deemed equivalent, required.

  • Additional or postgraduate training in pedagogy desired.

  • Skills and 5 years’ experience in pedagogy and project management.

  • Collaboration skills and ability to manage working groups. Sense of dialogue and diplomacy.

  • Project management skills. Proven interest in education systems.

  • Commitment and loyalty to public service. High adaptability, agility and stress resistance.

  • Good knowledge of the structure and functioning of Vaud schools, the Romandy political system and their institutions.

  • Good knowledge of the curriculum in your sector of activity.

  • Proficiency in common IT tools. Writing skills.

  • Good organisation and time management. Global vision and sense of perspective. Analytical and synthesis skills.

The General Directorate of Compulsory Education and Specialised Pedagogy (DGEO) ensures schooling for children aged 4 to 15 and specialised pedagogy services for young people aged 0 to 20. Our mission is to offer them the best opportunities for development, integration and learning.
Our teams bring together professionals in pedagogy, psychology, psychomotricity and speech therapy in schools, as well as human resources, school system organisation, administration, information systems and finance. In a rich and diverse environment, all work for and with the 93 ordinary establishments and the 19 specialised pedagogy establishments.
