We are recruiting a Works Manager to join a recognised player in Civil Engineering.
The role combines operational management, field team leadership, and autonomous decision-making on projects with high technical demands.
This position is aimed at an experienced professional wishing to develop in an environment where responsibility, rigour and the ability to structure operations are essential.
Responsibilities
Planning & organisation
Structure interventions and plan resources (teams, equipment, subcontractors).
Monitor the progress of operations and adjust the organisation if necessary.
Ensure clear reporting on objectives, deadlines and resources.
Operational management
Supervise field teams and provide a structured working framework.
Distribute tasks and energise daily coordination.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and a high level of quality.
Technical monitoring
Read and analyse plans and technical documents.
Define appropriate execution methods according to site constraints.
Control the conformity of works and their proper progress.
Coordination & communication
Act as the contact for clients, technical offices, operators and local authorities.
Participate in site meetings and represent the company.
Identify possible improvements on site and propose solutions.
Candidate profile
Skills & experience
Training in civil engineering, construction or related technical field.
Proven experience in leading or managing works (5 to 10 years).
Ease in team management and operational coordination.
In-depth knowledge of demanding technical environments.
Experience in Switzerland is mandatory.
Personal skills
Natural leadership and sense of responsibility.
Ability to arbitrate and decide in an operational environment.
Clear communication, solution-oriented mindset, autonomy.
Ability to manage unforeseen events pragmatically.
