Job Description

The Role

As a Technical Employee in a Care Home, you will play a key role in the maintenance and improvement of the facility's infrastructure. You will be directly involved in maintenance and will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.

Expected Duties

• Carry out maintenance and upkeep of furniture and building equipment
• Perform repairs and troubleshoot faults
• Supervise and monitor work carried out by external contractors
• Manage waste disposal in accordance with current regulations
• Ensure accessibility of facilities for residents
• Assist with the maintenance of the vehicle fleet
• Work with the hospitality service for major cleaning tasks
• Ensure safety regulations are followed
• Provide on-call telephone support and intervene when necessary
• Carry out snow clearance and salting during winter
• Participate in the upkeep of outdoor areas
• Transport residents for medical or private purposes
• Assist with furniture setup during moves and events

Candidate Profile

Required Experience

You hold a Federal VET Diploma as an operations agent or equivalent training, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Required Skills

• Sense of responsibility and organisation
• Ease in communicating with elderly people or those with cognitive impairments
• Autonomy while able to work interdisciplinarily
• Versatility, thoroughness, flexibility and good stress management
• Category B driving licence and trailer permit
• Proficiency with common IT tools (Microsoft Office, etc.)
