Penitentiary Service (SPNE) - Sanctions and Probation Enforcement Office (OESP)
The OESP carries out the tasks assigned by the penal code to the enforcement authority and the probation authority. It prepares and makes administrative decisions relating to the application of criminal sanctions imposed on adult persons. It ensures the monitoring and control of the application of decisions from a risk and resource management perspective, prevention of new offences, and support for social (re)integration. It is responsible for electronic monitoring.
Your missions
Within the scope of your role, you ensure the execution of detention and criminal sanctions imposed on adult persons, namely custodial sentences up to 6 months and substitute custodial sentences. You analyse and manage information relating to convicted persons, with a view to monitoring and risk prevention.
You plan the execution of sanctions as well as their follow-up, while coordinating interventions and the network of involved partners. In this capacity, you conduct hearings, interviews and write reports, assessments and administrative or judicial decisions necessary for the proper management of cases. Finally, you carry out tasks related to electronic monitoring, including equipment maintenance, training your colleagues, and visiting the homes of monitored persons to fit the device to the body and manage alerts in case of non-compliance with the framework.
Your profile
Holder of a commercial vocational baccalaureate or a commercial employee CFC supplemented by legal secretary training, or a media technician CFC, you have several years of professional experience in legal, administrative or telecommunications fields.
Your analytical, negotiation and mediation skills are recognised and accompanied by a great capacity for adaptation, as well as the ability to thrive in a demanding work environment. Moreover, your interpersonal ease allows you to represent authority clearly and professionally, even in sensitive contexts or with diverse interlocutors. Knowledge of foreign languages is an asset.
Prerequisites: residence in Switzerland; clean criminal record and debt enforcement register extract. You will be sworn in.
