Reference: CLS/RH/2026.762 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 100% / Hours: according to schedule Monday to Friday between 7:00 earliest and 20:00 latest + on-call duty on Saturdays on rotation (on average 1 every 2 months) / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")
Why do we need you?
Following the departure of the current post holder, we are looking for a Medical Device Technologist to join our Sterilisation team. What will you be expected to do?
- Ensure the complete reprocessing of medical devices, from collection to sterilisation, in compliance with quality standards, hygiene and safety rules
- Identify, sort, pre-treat, disinfect, package and sterilise medical devices according to their specificity and current protocols
- Use and supervise washing, disinfection and sterilisation equipment to ensure their performance and prevent malfunctions
- Carry out quality controls and interpret technical tests (Bowie-Dick, leak tests, soil controls) to guarantee the conformity of sterilisation cycles
- Organise activities according to elective programmes, surgical priorities and emergencies
- Ensure IT traceability of all steps in the forward flow process
- Work closely with operating theatre teams, care units, ambulatory surgery, radiology and external partners to ensure efficient service
- Participate in continuous improvement of practices, compliance with ISO 13485 requirements and staff training
- Participate in the bio-cleaning of the service and ensure maintenance of a work environment compliant with institutional procedures

In this position, you will be supervised by Monica Catarino, Head of Sterilisation, who combines professional rigour, organisation and kindness, paying particular attention to listening and teamwork to ensure reliable processes and a calm working environment.
What do we expect from you?
Essentials
- Hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a Medical Device Technologist or training as a Sterilisation Technical Assistant (level 1 or 2)
- Have initial experience in hospital sterilisation or within an operating theatre
- Be comfortable in a dynamic environment requiring responsiveness and a sense of priorities
- Demonstrate rigour in applying protocols, quality standards and hygiene rules
