Founded in 1535 in Geneva, our institution supports people who, at a point in their lives, need assistance for the necessary time to (re)gain sustainable autonomy. We promote the social and professional reintegration of people receiving social assistance, we welcome and accommodate asylum seekers whom we support in their integration process. Finally, we participate in combating the isolation of seniors.
We are more than 1,600 employees spread across 60 sites throughout the canton. We support more than 40,000 people.

Job DescriptionYour mission
Within a multidisciplinary team, you ensure the assessment and analysis of the situations of people requesting support. Depending on the requests, you provide social information, social support adapted to the specificities of each situation and, where appropriate, assess and grant financial social assistance benefits, within the framework of the Social Assistance and Fight Against Precarity Act (LASLP) and the cantonal directives related to migrant assistance.
Your main activities
- You analyse and assess the beneficiary's request;
- In partnership with the beneficiary, you establish an assessment of their social situation by identifying their skills and mobilising their resources to support their return to autonomy;
- In collaboration with professionals with relevant expertise and the beneficiary themselves, you develop a social support plan and the means for its implementation (definition of objectives and an action strategy) aimed at their social and/or professional reintegration;
- You evaluate and verify the respect of the beneficiary's various rights, particularly regarding social insurance;
- In partnership with the financial and administrative manager, you ensure the allocation of financial aid within the framework of cantonal or federal legal provisions;
- You work closely with the social, administrative, and medico-social network.
Your profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human sciences, or an equivalent qualification;
- Proven experience in social work is an asset;
- You demonstrate a strong interest in human relations;
- You have a good knowledge of Geneva institutions;
- You enjoy actively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team;
- You are proactive, agile, and creative;
- You show good analytical and adaptability skills;
- You are solution-oriented.

Our recruitment process
It takes place in several stages depending on the type of position, where each step conditions the next: application analysis, telephone interview and, if applicable, job test and/or evaluation. The latter is organised at our premises over half a day with managers from the institution and in the presence of a human resources representative. Candidates are subjected to both individual and group exercises.
