Our client is a company active in second fixings, recognised for its technical rigour, organisational skills and commitment to customer satisfaction. It works on varied projects in French-speaking Switzerland, with a rigorous and results-oriented approach.

As part of its business development, it is seeking a Technician Manager to oversee planning, costing and site supervision. This role also involves being the right hand of the director, with a high degree of autonomy and a key role in project success.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise sites
• Establish schedules and monitor their execution
• Study tender documents and conduct feasibility analyses
• Consult suppliers and subcontractors, prepare comparisons and propose alternatives
• Calculate bids (measurements, materials, labour, machinery)
• Define hourly and productivity targets by type of work
• Organise teams, subcontractors and temporary workers
• Manage technicians on site: task allocation, daily follow-up, training and motivation
• Ensure site safety (CNA regulations, PHSE, risk analyses)
• Maintain relationships with clients, architects and project owners
• Participate in recruitment and evaluations
• Monitor budgets, control costs and optimise resources
• Ensure administrative and financial follow-up of projects
• Attend site meetings and represent the company
• Provide after-sales service and post-work follow-up

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in second fixings
• Technical expertise in plastering, painting, external insulation
• Strong skills in costing, site management and team leadership
• Good knowledge of standards, plan reading and IT tools
• Organisational skills, rigour and initiative
• Driving licence essential
