Risk manager - Operational risk


Do you wish to develop in a professional environment that is always evolving, stimulating and inspiring? Join the Operational Risk and Data department team at Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE), an Authentic, Courageous and Fair bank.

As a Risk manager - Operational risk, you will ensure that the standards defined by the Bank regarding operational risk management are properly deployed and applied across all scopes, in accordance with FINMA requirements.

Your missions

  • Risk mapping: ensure that each bank scope has identified and assessed the risks inherent to their activities in risk maps. Critically review the risk maps, propose adjustments if necessary and ensure their updates during significant events.
  • Procedures: participate in the procedure update exercise by reviewing new versions.
  • Controls: analyse the results of alert controls and inform hierarchical bodies. Regularly examine the effectiveness of controls deployed in the bank and, if necessary, issue recommendations.
  • Operational incidents: report operational incidents announced in the operational risk management tool and ensure that action plans are planned.
  • Internal fraud: handle alerts generated by internal fraud detection tools.
  • Recommendations: feed the operational risk management tool with recommendations issued by internal audit, external audit and the Operational Risk team.
  • Reporting: contribute to the production of various operational risk reports (monthly, quarterly and annual).
  • Support: assist employees in using the operational risk management tool (training, support). Raise awareness among teams about operational risk issues and actively contribute to spreading the operational risk culture.

Your profile

  • Holder of a bachelor’s or master’s degree;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Proficient with IT tools;
  • Methodical, rigorous and precise;
  • Critical thinking;
  • Curious;
  • Analytical and synthetic mind;
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Autonomous;
  • Good knowledge of banking activities.
