For one of our clients located in the canton of Neuchâtel, we are currently seeking a Specialist Nurse in Intellectual Disability (80%)
Nurses
- Education: Bachelor in nursing or diploma recognised by SEFRI Switzerland (mandatory recognition).
- Experience: Proven experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities, intellectual impairment or multiple disabilities, a major asset.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, listening skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Personal qualities: Adaptability, stress management, autonomy and sense of responsibility.
- Language: Perfect command of French (spoken and written).
Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing the physical, psychological and social health needs of beneficiaries.
- Developing, implementing and monitoring individualised care plans.
- Supporting people in daily life activities by promoting their autonomy and quality of life.
- Monitoring medical treatments and overseeing their effectiveness as well as any side effects.
- Identifying and managing crisis situations or challenging behaviours with professionalism and kindness.
- Participating in the implementation of adapted educational, occupational and therapeutic activities.
- Working closely with families, legal representatives and various partners in the medico-social network.
- Contributing to health promotion, prevention and maintenance of beneficiaries’ achievements.
- Actively participating in interdisciplinary meetings and continuous quality improvement of services.
