The Early Childhood Service (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the City of Geneva's early childhood policy by managing municipal childcare facilities and supporting the facilities it subsidises. To support the opening of the new early childhood facility in the 2027 school year, located at Avenue d'Aïre, 100, 1203 Geneva, the service is looking for a

Your mission and responsibilities

- Manage an early childhood facility (capacity of 48 places in 2027, and an additional 24 places in the 2028 school year for a final estimated capacity of 72 places) composed of specialised staff, with the aim of delivering a service to beneficiaries that complies with current standards.

- Participate in the opening of the new facility (setting up the structure, recruiting teams, etc).

- Define and develop the institutional and educational project.

- Ensure the allocation and development of the skills necessary to deliver the service.

- Represent the entity to beneficiary representatives and partners, and promote networking.

Your profile

- Hold a tertiary A or B qualification in early childhood, pedagogy, psychology or social work.
- Have 5 years of professional experience in the socio-educational field with children aged 0 to 12, including at least 2 years with children aged 0 to 4.
- Have experience or training in administration and team management.
- Demonstrate excellent team management skills, listening ability and empathy.
- Show organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, good stress management and ease in communication.
- Have good administrative knowledge, including office and financial tools.
- A CAS or DAS in team management, or any training recognised by SASAJ, is an asset.
