Thanks to national and regional know-how as well as close collaboration with distributors and publishing houses, the company manages to ensure a coherent market orientation while taking local reading needs into account.
The sales promoter visits press sales points in French-speaking Switzerland to promote newspapers and magazines for which publishers have subscribed to a promotional service. At a selection of sales points, he/she ensures dedicated merchandising and product highlighting, checks promotional displays, and produces weekly reports. He/she is a driving force in getting the sales network to adopt merchandising approaches and active sales techniques.
Sales Promoter - 100% (m/f/d)
Main responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular visits to nearly 300 sales points across French-speaking Switzerland (approx. 30 visits/week, 4 days out of 5 in the field) according to the established tour schedule
- Ensuring merchandising of the relevant titles: product placement on shelves, grouping by category, installation of display stands, taking before-and-after photos
- Training and coaching sales point teams to convince them of the merchandising actions carried out, encouraging adoption of the commercial approach and active sales techniques
- Being proactive in proposing actions to increase sales
- Preparing weekly reports for publishers including quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Verifying compliance with promotional schedules by sales points, photographing displays, reporting material needs and database updates, implementing any new promotional operations for the press
- Mastering internal IT tools (PIA and iPIA) for visit reporting, data updates, and communication with internal teams.
Your profile:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a commercial representation or merchandising role within a sales network
- Knowledge of the French-speaking Swiss region (an advantage)
- Proficiency in common office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Driving licence
- Commercial mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, customer focus, pedagogical skills
- Autonomy, organisational skills, rigour, initiative
- Physical resilience and efficiency
- Residence in Switzerland is an advantage
