Sales Engineer
In this key role for the development of French-speaking Switzerland, you act as the privileged link between industrial clients (OEM) and the company’s technical experts. Thanks to your expertise, advisory skills and commercial flair, you support your contacts in finding efficient solutions while actively contributing to the company’s growth in your territory.
Main responsibilities
- Advise and support clients in the choice, sizing and integration of technical solutions adapted to their industrial applications.
- Understand clients’ needs and constraints in order to propose high value-added solutions in the field of drive technologies and power transmission.
- Develop sales in French-speaking Switzerland and actively contribute to achieving the company’s commercial objectives.
- Ensure the follow-up and development of an existing client portfolio while identifying and acquiring new clients.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and training for clients when necessary.
- Prepare and follow up technical and commercial offers in collaboration with internal teams and product specialists.
- Negotiate commercial terms and ensure project follow-up until completion.
- Participate in the introduction and development of new products on the French-speaking Swiss market.
- Carry out active market monitoring, technological developments and competition to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the company to clients, partners and at professional events.
Your profile
- With a higher technical education at ES, HES level or equivalent in mechanics, automation, mechatronics or a related field, you wish to put your skills to use in an advisory and development role.
- Successful experience in an industrial environment, combined with technical consulting or commercial development activity, ideally complements your background.
- Thanks to your understanding of industrial applications, you are able to identify clients’ needs and propose adapted solutions.
- Contact with clients, developing lasting relationships and seeking new business opportunities motivate you daily.
- Recognised for your autonomy and organisational skills, you appreciate field roles offering great freedom of action.
- Your entrepreneurial spirit, results orientation and ability to take initiatives are real assets for success in this role.
- Endowed with excellent communication skills, you know how to adapt your discourse to both technical interlocutors and decision-makers.
- As a native French speaker, you have good knowledge of German allowing you to communicate with colleagues and teams at the headquarters in German-speaking Switzerland.
- The use of common IT tools as well as CRM systems is an integral part of your professional practice.
- Working closely with internal teams (in French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland) to provide quality service to clients fully corresponds to your way of working.
