Mission
You provide operational technical support for surface treatment processes to accelerate process mastery and the completion of improvement projects. In close collaboration with our Plating Project Manager, Production, Quality, and R&D, you contribute to the optimisation, robustness, and standardisation of industrial processes.

Responsibilities
• Technical support for the management and optimisation of surface treatment processes.
• Monitoring and analysing process parameters (baths, cycle times, drifts, contaminants, etc.).
• Implementation, monitoring, and analysis of test plans (comparative tests, simple DOE).
• Analysis of process data and proposal of corrective actions.
• Contribution to the standardisation and documentation of processes (operating procedures, instructions, specifications).
• Technical interface between production, quality, and R&D.
• Participation in knowledge capitalisation and preparation for skills transfer at the end of the mission.

Profile
• Master’s degree or engineering diploma in chemistry, materials, or process engineering (or equivalent), ideally obtained at EPFL or a recognised European school.
• Early career engineer or 2 to 3 years’ experience, ideally with initial exposure to surface treatments.
• Strong interest in industrial processes and hands-on work.
• Scientific rigour, good analytical skills, comfortable between workshop, production, and laboratory.
• Knowledge of safety rules for handling chemicals. Fluent French, technical English required.

What we offer
• Participation in strategic industrial projects at the heart of high-tech processes.
• Direct collaboration with industry experts for rapid skills development.
• Real technical responsibilities and progressive autonomy in the field.
• A demanding and stimulating industrial environment, recognised for its excellence.
• Renewable 12-month full-time fixed-term contract.
• Workplace: Ecublens in French-speaking Switzerland.
