Physics Laboratory Technician (M/F/D) at 100%



Your missions

He or she supports internal and external clients through the analyses carried out daily. He or she interprets them and communicates them clearly and in a structured manner to their interlocutors.

He or she acts as a confirmed technical referent of the laboratory and works autonomously on complex analyses, in-depth investigations and cross-functional projects of high importance for the company.

As a provider of solutions, he or she makes all their skills and know-how available to their partners.

Your activities

  • Carry out complete material analyses: metallographic sections, mechanical tests, chemical analyses and production-related controls,
  • Observe and analyse using optical and electron microscopy (SEM/EDX), including creating images and films,
  • Prepare chemical solutions, monitor effluent treatment stations and perform measurements by palpation,
  • Manage complex analyses autonomously, interpret results and propose appropriate technical solutions,
  • Provide expert technical support and act as the laboratory’s technical referent,
  • Contribute to the site’s strategic projects (new processes, customer requirements, AIC),
  • Prepare and supervise projects for apprentices, providing support/lessons,
  • Request quotes and place orders for laboratory supplies,
  • Participate and engage in various company projects (AIC, LEAN…),
  • Perform tasks according to current procedures and standards,
  • Write documents: reports, procedures, specifications.

Professional and personal skills

  • Strong technical autonomy
  • Ability to make significant technical decisions
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several complex subjects simultaneously

Basic and continuing education

  • Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as Physics Laboratory Technician with materials option or equivalent qualification
  • Good computer skills
  • Native French speaker with professional level English (min. C2), German is an asset.
