Description
Join a unique industrial project in Switzerland and participate in the development of an innovative electromagnetic technology, at the intersection of power electronics, system control and complex systems.
Our client is currently building its first industrial site in Switzerland, in Monthey, with the ambition to create a reference industrial and technological centre within an international group supported by a strong investment fund.
The company is developing an innovative physico-chemical technology, notably based on the use of electromagnetic fields and complex electromechanical systems. The project is now entering a key structuring phase, with significant challenges in development, industrialisation and hardware/software integration.
In this context, we are recruiting a Mechatronics Engineer, with a strong technical and cross-functional dimension.
Mechatronics Engineer
Your responsibilities
Attached to the site’s technical teams, you will be involved at the heart of product development, in close collaboration with power electronics partners and international software teams.
As such, you will notably be required to:
- Participate in the development and optimisation of complex electromagnetic systems controlled via electric drives and frequency converters.
- Contribute to the design and integration of power electronics solutions, in line with performance, robustness and industrialisation requirements.
- Work on dynamic systems such as electric motors, pumps, turbines or complex electromechanical equipment.
- Develop and optimise interfaces between hardware, control and software, particularly around monitoring, data and system performance issues.
- Participate in testing, debugging, commissioning and continuous improvement phases of the systems.
- Contribute to an overall logic of digitalisation and product optimisation, with a strong focus on modelling, data and system analysis.
Profile sought
- Training in mechatronics, electrical engineering, power electronics or equivalent field.
- Experience in complex technical environments, with a strong electromechanical and/or power electronics component.
- Very good command of electric drives, frequency converters (VFD) and associated control systems.
- Knowledge of applied electromagnetism.
- Experience with systems such as motors, turbines, pumps or dynamic industrial equipment.
- Interest in software, data and modelling topics (Python, data analysis, optimisation).
- Ability to operate in a cross-functional environment, at the interface between hardware, software and product.
- Analytical mind, technical curiosity, autonomy and ability to solve complex problems.
- Dynamic, committed profile, with a strong desire to be part of a project under construction.
- Fluent French; professional English required.
Context & environment
- Key position within an industrial project in a structuring phase.
- Demanding technical environment, combining electromechanics, power electronics and software.
- Collaboration with specialised technology partners and international teams.
- Industrial start-up culture: autonomy, versatility and strong adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.
Why join this project?
- Participate in the development of an innovative technology with strong industrial potential.
- Work on complex and stimulating technical challenges.
- Contribute to the construction of an industrial site from its early phases.
- Develop in a dynamic environment, with a high level of exposure and impact.
