Your mission
Passionate about applied research and development, you wish to put your expertise at the service of industrial innovation. As a senior R&D engineer, you will play a central role in leading and carrying out research and development projects within the "Metrology and Industrial Vision" competence group.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- R&D project management: you will ensure the complete management of projects, from the design phase to implementation, through to evaluation of results and industrial valorisation.
- Supervision and skills transfer: you will support junior engineers in their professional development and ensure effective knowledge transfer within the team.
- Collaboration with external partners: you will work closely with industrial or academic partners and actively contribute to the setup, monitoring and realisation of projects funded notably by Innosuisse, the SNSF or European programmes.
- Contribution to teaching and training: according to your skills and the group’s needs, you will participate in basic teaching and continuing education.
Your profile
You are a qualified engineer, holding a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in microtechnology, embedded computing or industrial engineering. You are proficient in French and English, both spoken and written, and have at least five years’ experience within an R&D department in one or more of the following fields: industrial vision, technical computing, electronics or microtechnology.
You notably possess the following skills:
- Solid experience in managing technical projects, up to product industrialisation.
- Very good programming knowledge (Python, C++, C#, Matlab or LabVIEW).
- Good knowledge in sensors, signal processing and data analysis.
- Desired experience in developing industrial vision systems (cameras, lighting, optics, software).
- Desired mastery of vision libraries such as Matrox MIL, Matrox DA, Cognex, NI-VBAI or OpenCV.
- Appreciated knowledge of embedded electronic systems.
- Desired experience in optical design and simulation.
- Excellent technical writing skills in French and English.
- Ease in teamwork and in relations with external partners.
