Number 1 in nail care in pharmacies in France, Poderm develops naturally effective solutions for foot and nail health. Founded by Maud Falconnet, a podiatrist, Poderm offers unique formulas with patented technology, tested and recommended by health professionals.

In a context of growth and international structuring, we are looking for a Head of Product & Innovation to build and lead the innovation strategy, structure product development and continue to make innovation a strong growth lever for Poderm. Reporting to the Management and a member of the Executive Committee, this role will aim to ensure in particular:

  • The innovation strategy and the 3-year B2B & B2C product roadmap
  • The end-to-end management of product development (formula, packaging, planning, GO/NO-GO milestones)
  • The management of the product development team and coordination with external providers and internal teams

MISSIONS

1. Innovation strategy and product roadmap

  • Define Poderm's innovation strategy (B2B & B2C) in close collaboration with the founder, to meet the set growth objectives
  • Build and maintain the 3-year product roadmap (new products and animation of existing ranges: bundles, accessories, etc.), integrating the specific needs of channels and markets
  • Structure and formalise prioritisation criteria and key milestones of the development process
  • Lead the monthly B2B & B2C pipeline review with internal teams
  • Manage the product development budget and monitor development costs per project
  • Actively participate in market, competition, ingredients and technology watch to feed the roadmap

2. Product development management

  • Oversee end-to-end product development: formula, packaging (including art direction & pack concept), industrialisation, claims
  • Monitor development schedules, anticipate risks and alert in case of deviation
  • Challenge technical choices proposed by laboratories, subcontractors or partner suppliers (formula, ingredients, pack). Validate coherence between product positioning, sourcing choices and margin objectives. Support price negotiation.
  • Be the strategic contact for laboratories and subcontractors on key projects
  • Coordinate regulatory and supply needs in connection with QARA and Supply Chain teams

3. Leadership and structuring

  • Manage, structure and develop the skills of the product development team (3 people)
  • Define and monitor KPIs for the product development division. Ensure reporting to Management.
  • Collaborate closely with all internal teams (channel managers, QARA, Supply)

PROFILE

  • Business education such as a top business school or equivalent with 10 to 15 years of experience in product development in the cosmetics, beauty or health sector
  • Strong expertise in product development project management (formula & packaging)
  • High curiosity and proactive monitoring of ingredient trends, new formulation technologies and packaging innovations. Creative and proactive in proposing new product ideas.
  • Strong awareness of brand, positioning and product activation issues: natural ease in working interface with marketing and communication teams
  • Proven experience in team management and process structuring in a scale-up or growing SME environment
  • Knowledge of medical devices (Class 1 and 2a MD) is a significant asset
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical and results-oriented mindset, comfortable moving between strategic vision and operational execution
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). German is an asset
