The Cadastre and Geomatics unit encourages the integration of Smart technologies (management and enhancement of geolocated GIS data) to create a sustainable and connected society for tomorrow.
The "geomaticians" collect, analyse and share multi-fluid geographic and administrative data related to various works impacting the subsoil throughout the canton of Geneva.
We invite you to join the Network Cadastre and Geomatics unit and have the opportunity to collect, analyse and share geographic and administrative data related to the unit's works.
Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva
As part of your role you will be responsible for:
- Taking responsibility for simple projects and ensuring their coordination;
- Ensuring precise and complete field surveys of all types of networks according to the unit's quality system procedures;
- Updating network objects in accordance with field surveys, following data entry rules and readability criteria of the quality system both in the field and in the office;
- Using the mobile drawing interface for all types of networks;
- Participating in surveying work commissioned internally by engineering;
- Contributing to the efficiency of your unit and to the proper functioning of the quality system to the satisfaction of clients.
Your personality and skills
Endowed with a keen sense of interpersonal relationships, you know how to establish a climate of trust, show tact and maintain constructive collaborations.
A good communicator, you express yourself clearly and know how to convey and simplify technical processes to your partners and clients as well as explain them to your fellow geomaticians. Your mastery of surveying techniques — notably the use of geodesy instruments — is accompanied by an excellent knowledge of cartographic tools such as ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD.
You also have a very good understanding of office environments.
Your academic background:
- Federal VET Diploma as a geomatics draughtsperson or equivalent.
The salary will be calculated based on a reference annual gross salary of CHF 65,000.-- (100% basis) spread over thirteen payments.
