We are looking for an expert capable of combining:

  • industrial chemistry,
  • surface science,
  • process validation,
  • contamination control,
  • and cross-functional leadership

The recruited person will play a role as a technical referent and will interact closely with the Manufactures, suppliers, R&D, quality, and industrialisation teams to define tomorrow's standards.

Your main missions:

Define and standardise cleaning strategies

  • Evaluate existing washing and surface treatment processes in the different Manufactures.
  • Define measurable and robust cleanliness criteria.
  • Formalise specifications and group standards.
  • Build qualification and validation methodologies for processes.

Develop robust and scientifically controlled processes

  • Conduct short- and long-term capability studies.
  • Define process windows and monitoring methodologies.
  • Implement process control and management strategies over time.
  • Ensure stability, repeatability, and robustness of industrial processes.

Provide strong expertise on cleaning chemistries and technologies

  • Challenge suppliers on proposed chemical and technological solutions.
  • Understand the advantages and limitations of different chemistries and technologies.
  • Participate in technological choices and strategic directions.
  • Identify and deploy best practices at the group level.

Manage high value-added cross-functional projects

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Industrialisation teams.
  • Train operators and support field teams.
  • Define and lock industrial procedures.
  • Ensure clear communication with technical and managerial stakeholders.

Profile sought:

Education

  • Master's or Doctorate in Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, Surface Engineering.
  • Significant experience in industrial chemical processes and/or cleaning processes.
  • Experience in a high-precision environment (watchmaking, medtech, microtechnology, semiconductors, advanced surface treatments)
  • Good mastery of process validation issues and long-term robustness.
  • Ability to technically challenge suppliers and industrial choices.

Highly appreciated

  • Experience in electroplating or electrochemical processes.
  • Knowledge in contamination control.
  • Experience in regulated or highly standardised environments.
  • Experience with a supplier of chemicals or industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Experience in multisite standardisation or group projects.
