We are an internationally renowned industrial company headquartered in Cressier near Neuchâtel. We design, develop and manufacture centrifugal pumps and control valves which we supply to demanding sectors of industry, chemistry and wastewater treatment.
In order to strengthen our Production department, Emile Egger & Cie SA is looking for a:
Conventional and CNC Grinder
Setting of small series or complex single parts, ensuring dimensional accuracy, surface finish and conformity of parts according to technical requirements.
Master the production means and products manufactured within the company.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform grinding operations on conventional and CNC machines
- Set grinding machines according to plans and manufacturing processes
- Surface, internal and external cylindrical grinding of mechanical parts
- Check dimensions, geometries and surface finishes of machined parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances
- Perform tool changes and parameter adjustments
- First-level maintenance of equipment
- Comply with quality, safety and production deadlines
- Participate in continuous improvement of machining processes
- Perform honing and finishing operations on complex parts if necessary
Profile and Skills:
- Training in mechanics, machining or production engineering
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in industrial grinding
- Good knowledge of reading mechanical drawings and ISO dimensioning
- Knowledge of control and metrology instruments: micrometre, dial gauge, calliper, height gauge, etc.
- Mastery of surface and cylindrical grinding, with knowledge of medium to large parts
- Skills in machine setting and selection of grinding wheels
- Perform dimensional control and mastery of tight tolerances and surface finishes
- Use of metrology equipment and quality control tools
- Knowledge of precision machining and finishing operations
- Basic maintenance knowledge of equipment
- Knowledge of conventional and/or CNC grinding machines
- Ability to work respecting quality, safety and production procedures
