The position is attached to the Operations Department. This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the smooth running of all HUG services, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the medical device reprocessing service, the biomedical and equipment service, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,300 professionals carry out their duties daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.

Within the medical device reprocessing service, composed of about 90 people, under the responsibility of the management team, your mission is to ensure the reprocessing of medical devices as a medical device technologist.

You carry out all stages of the reprocessing process, namely: pre-treatment, reception, sorting, cleaning, disinfection, packaging, reprocessing, and distribution of these medical devices.

You have the professionalism and tact necessary to inform the operating theatre contacts in case of questions or problems with the equipment.

You are aware of the responsibilities incumbent upon you and the importance of your actions and behaviour towards patients.

This process is part of good practices and respects the quality policy implemented in the service.


Qualifications

You ideally hold a Federal VET Diploma as a medical device technologist with at least 1 year of experience in hospital sterilisation.

Experience in the packaging of operating trays is an additional asset.

You have a good command of spoken and written French (minimum B2 level required).

You know how to use office software Excel and Word - basic level - as well as Outlook email.

By nature optimistic, you are a discreet and rigorous person. You enjoy working according to quality procedures.

Your interpersonal skills, team spirit, and sense of service allow you to work and collaborate easily within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
You know how to adapt to unforeseen events and workload variations thanks to your flexibility and organisation.

Due to the nature of the activities and the 3-shift schedule, availability and excellent physical condition are essential. Irregular hours (evening, night, weekend, and public holidays).

This position requires irregular hours, as the medical device reprocessing service operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
