What you can contribute

  • Manage the library at a strategic, operational, financial and personnel level
  • Implement the collection management policy, select and weed collections, supervise the processing of collections, particularly cataloguing
  • Supervise user services
  • Coordinate work with other groups and internal services
  • Represent the library to SLSP and external organisations (ABJS, Bibliosuisse, etc.)
  • Manage and/or participate in projects (IT development, relocation, moving, etc.)

What makes you unique

  • Bachelor or Master in Information Science or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a scientific or specialised library
  • Very good knowledge of the SLSP environment and library standards
  • Very good knowledge of German and French, good knowledge of English
  • Experience in team management and project management, interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Organisational skills, rigour and autonomy, analytical and synthesis abilities
