Our Opportunity
To strengthen the Quality team within our Watch Case Manufacture based in Saignelégier, we are looking for a:
Quality Engineer
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your main mission is to actively participate in improving the conformity and reliability of our watch case products (case and dial) throughout the production chain by defining, implementing and training on the necessary control methods and leading a quality approach.
Handling quality complaints and incidents
In close collaboration with the various production sectors and support functions, you ensure the handling of quality issues encountered (organisation and monitoring of securing, launching and managing the problem-solving approach, implementation of preventive and corrective actions, active follow-up of the action plan). You orchestrate the complete cycle of non-conformities, from their thorough analysis to the final feedback to customers, ensuring the effective resolution of blocking points. In this context, you identify relevant technical solutions by adopting an approach of standardisation, formalisation and continuous improvement of quality procedures.
Quality Coordination
You plan and lead cross-functional quality meetings aimed at problem resolution and the implementation of internal and external optimisations, rigorously applying resolution methodologies (8D, QRQC). In parallel, you develop and regularly present quality KPIs, analyses and quantified progress as well as corrective actions or improvements deployed. You provide technical support to production staff and organise training sessions to raise awareness of digital quality tools and problem-solving.
Deployment of RDP and FMEA approaches
You ensure the deployment of FMEA methodologies to prevent quality risks and actively lead problem-solving approaches to identify root causes and then implement effective corrective and preventive actions. You train and support teams in applying these methodologies, while regularly sharing the progress of these projects with the responsible parties. Finally, you are responsible for managing cross-functional quality projects.
Your Background
With an engineering degree, you have at least five years of experience in quality problem-solving and defining control methods, ideally in the watchmaking sector. Your thorough mastery of quality tools (risk analysis, problem-solving) enables you to support and improve quality throughout the production chain. You have very good knowledge of SAP; Quick Control (or equivalent software) is a plus.
Dynamic, committed and possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you enjoy working in a team. Both pragmatic and analytical, you demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills, thus contributing to the development of the organisation. An excellent communicator, you share your knowledge, and your relational skills allow you to collaborate effectively in the search for solutions.
